![]() ![]() I’ve been using this paint on everything! So far I’ve used in on my dishwasher, some old glass vases to give them a more modern look, and the emblems on our truck that were faded and needed a makeover. ![]() ![]() There are other spray paints out there that claim to be metallic and they barely have any chrome look to them at all. You definitely want to use this exact one though. I know you’re probably thinking it’s not going to look like the real thing, but have you seen this foil paint! ? AMAZING!!! It’s so easy to do and the finish is just like stainless steel! For real, no one will even know the difference. These stainless steel panels seemed like they’d work, but cost a bit more than I was hoping to spend. I also looked at the stainless steel appliance panels. Peeling appliances look worse than mismatched appliances in my opinion. I tried the contact paper but it wouldn’t stay on. Now I’ve seen some other solutions that I just couldn’t make work. It’s holding up great! The easiest and cheapest solution to getting faux stainless steel appliances! UPDATE: We’ve had our dishwasher spray painted stainless steel for 3 years and it still looks perfect. I discovered I could spray paint my dishwasher with a metallic foil paint to make it look like stainless steel and I was so excited. So I set out to find a way to make it fit in with the rest of the kitchen. We considered replacing it, but it works great (which is more than I can say for some I’ve had in the past). Our dishwasher works perfectly but it was white and all of our other appliances are black and stainless steel to match our kitchen. Have you been wanting stainless steel appliances but yours work just fine? Can’t justify spending thousands of dollars on new appliances when you have perfectly good ones already? I’m going to show you in this tutorial how easy it is to spray paint appliances to look like real stainless steel without the hefty price tag! You can spray paint a dishwasher stainless steel (or any other appliance)! Wear gloves and masks to protect yourself from the paint fumes.I want to show you an easy and cheap way to spray paint a dishwasher (or any appliance) stainless steel in less than an hour! Apply two layers of paint, but only after the first one has entirely dried off. Read the manufacturer’s instructions before you begin painting. Use smooth and thin strokes and make sure the paint does not run or drip or appear uneven anywhere. Preferably use oil-based paints since they offer more durability and are easier to clean. Go in for a color that will match the tone of your kitchen. Use appliance paint and not acrylic or enamel paints. Always make sure you use paint that is heat-resistant. Now it’s time to paint! Let the primer coats dry completely, and in much the same way as you applied the primer, paint the surface of the range hood with the color of your choice. Once the first coat has dried off, apply another even coat of primer. Read the instructions on the can carefully to know how long you need to wait before applying another coat. Whether you are using a paintbrush or a paint roller, or using spray paint, ensure that you apply the primer evenly all over for a smooth finish. Use a good quality adhesion-promoting primer. ![]()
